Our purpose is stated best in the following paragraph, which is taken directly from the book "Anorexics & Bulimics Anonymous" --

"Anorexics and Bulimics Anonymous is a fellowship of individuals whose primary purpose is to find and maintain sobriety in our eating practices, and to help others gain sobriety.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop unhealthy eating practices that we have come to realize are progressively destroying our lives, physically, mentally and spiritually."

This is a 12 step recovery group which was founded in Alberta, Canada but which has been making its way to other parts of Canada as well as major cities in the U.S., Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

ALL people with a desire to stop unhealthy eating practices                              are welcome, whether that practice be anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, over eating, or any other unhealthy eating practice!

In New York City, our fellowship meets twice a week:

  • Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm in room 720 at The Tisch Building                                                         119 West 24th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

This is an "open" meeting; all are welcome, including those who do not have eating disorders.

If you are concerned about a loved one or curious about ABA, this is                                                              the meeting to attend.

  • Sunday Step Meeting 12:15pm on the 3rd floor of The Club House
    252 West 46th Street between 7th & 8th Ave
This is a "closed" meeting -- anyone wishing to stop unhealthy eating practices is welcome, but those who do not have an eating disorder should attend the "open" Tuesday night meeting.  Thank you.
